Subtle Change To Our Match Day Thread

Today's match day thread (City v Hull) will take place in our usual Match Day forum (link), however, we've decided to change the format slightly for Wednesday nights Carling Cup tie against Arsenal.

For a trial period we're going to run the Carling Cup thread via our front page. I'll publish the article in plenty of time so don't worry, everyone will have time to post their pre-match comments.

Word of caution

We can easily run up 40 pages via our Match Day forum and with 17 pages per thread, (if my maths are up to scratch) that means in excess of 680 posts. As I type and with three and a half hours before kick-off we've already reached page six!!

The issue may arise when we exceed 350 front page comments as I have a feeling the design doesn't like to reach such a colossal amount. If it comes apparent we need to move back to the forum, then we will - simples!

If it proves a success we'll consider doing it again, but like I say, lets see how it goes first. Oh, and as usual, feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Your Comments

Not sure if there's a live TV feed for todays game, however if one visits our 100% City Chat forum i'm sure someone might be in a position to help.

with the response to this article T is deafening.
Buzz Lightyear
If we can create that many posts and the front page takes only 350 max, methinks there will be problems, which we will no doubt find out in due course.
BlueWolfie
350 plus posts will certainly test the comments section structure. I'm sure it will hold up?
Tudor
I just hope that we can change our results the way that things are going.
Kevinho
How are you going to populate this along with the comments into the match day forum, after the game Tudor?
Thaibluefan
Thaibluefan - Good question mate. TBH I haven't a clue.
Tudor
After listening to you guys i've decided to drop the idea. Our Match Day thread will continue via our forums.
