The VMC Man Of The Match Versus Boro

Now injury and rust free, classy Vincent Kompany is threatening again to become a very big player for City. His versatility shone through again on a frozen Teesside...

The 23 year old's presence was felt during The Blues untroubled FA Cup win both in central midfield and at centre half, underlining his adaptability.

There won't be many rags fancying going up against the giant Belgian this week in his current imposing form. Form which helped along the likes of MCFC Academy graduate Dedryk Boyata who made a fine debut for The Citizens.

i think that was just about right really with kompany getting it - i thought the young lad at the back was shaky to start with but grew as the game went on.

Didn't see the game but I feel VK might just be a big player for us in the future.
