more the merrier and if manciniho trusts him then i trust his judgement

Good old experienced head on him could be just the thing to instill a bit of leadership into the team, particularly with Toure away. It's not like we can't afford him, so if it all goes tits up we've not lost anything. The gooner's fans reactions will be priceless that's for sure!

Gooners reactions? quite simply meh, can't begrudge a once proud warhorse whose legs have long since left him a final chance to grab as much oil wedge as he can stuff in those long strides at man sourtys retirement home for L'Arse players whose better days are far behind them. Do feel sorry for the company he'll have to keep though. :)

I don't see what use he will be at City, when we are is desperate need of someone at the back.
buzz lightyear
At least it will only be a loan deal.

A second-half-of season loan deal? Viera? This is okay with me.
BlueWolfie
No problems with this one for me. Ideal to help bring along Kompany, De jong and the other young lads, plus Taggart hates him!!!
Johnny Baguette
Don't get it. I'm hoping to learn...
Ahoyskin
It maybe for the time being he wants Barry to play LB and Viera can take that spot in midfield, where he does not have to run about a lot, like Paul Bosvelt did when he was with us.

I don't think its done yet and this article was posted 4th jan. How long does a medical take.
