The VMC Man Of The Match Versus Blackburn

Fergie, Fergie, Sign Him Up...

Once again City's 'dog chasing a stick' (copyright rag smugfest United We Stand) tears another Premier League defence to shreds.

'El Apache's' sublime skill and vision have been a joy to watch this season. His finishing has been stunning. The livewire striker has now scored 15 goals in 21 City starts. A phenomenal run.

Taggart recently underlined that the reason he has not signed any player of note this past year is not because he does not have big money available, but because he does not see anyone worth paying big money for.

That statement will not be easily accepted by the legions of rags who were shrieking 'Argentina, Argentina' throughout last season's boring Big Four dominated procession.

Carlitos expressed his delight at being named Barclays Premier League Player of The Month before his hat-trick against Blackburn:

'It's nice to get awards like this and the one from the City fans as well, but as long as the team does well, that's all that matters. I'm very happy with my form, but what's more important is that the team has been playing well recently.

'This squad has the ability for the manager to pick a team to suit a certain game or if there a few injuries about...he is willing to change things, even during a match, so you have to be alert to what he wants to do. He's very strong on us working hard when we have not got the ball.'

Once again our latest poll reflected accurately the input of certain players who are fighting their way back into contention at buzzing City.

There don't seem to be many league matches in the month of January so Tevez must be the early frontrunner to be Barclays Premier League Play Of The Month for the 2nd month in succession.

Fergie, Fergie! Sign him up! are you sad to know that your fans could manage the team better than you can in your old age? LOL.

Must admit, moving to a Manchester club seems to have suited Tevez.
fifthcolumnblue
Tevez out, Tiny Tim in. Must be difficult to stomach.

Feel so pleased for Benjani, no moaning or silliness towards Hughes from him, a true pro. Nice one!!
RobsonGreensleeves
Benjani was dreadful against Boro, but to be fair, that was his first really competetive game in ages. He did hold the ball up well and Mancini is aware that it does take time to adjust and that he found someone in reserve who looked to have been under used, he has given everyone at the club a chance to show what they have to offer on the field.I am not sure that when everyone is fit that Benjani will still be first pick in the team.
Buzz Lightyear
He showed a fair turn of pace last night for a big man.

as daft as it sounds i still would have given benjani MOTM because without him tevez wouldnt have got 2 of his goals - great display from him and ive heard he is going to bolton
