Money Motivated Patrick Vieira Move

On our last Vital Manchester City front page poll question asked the following...

What motivated Patrick Vieira to join City?

Here is the result, in descending order.

Money - 48%
Rejuvenate his international career - 33%
His Inter days were numbered - 10%
He loves Manchester - 5%
Something else - 4%

I wonder if the remaining 52% who voted for other options had 'money' in the back of their mind.

So was this poll a genuine result or another one hacked by rival fans, particularly seeing that we have been invaded again tonight.

Big rival clicking I'd suggest, but, it's down to Paddy now to prove them all and any Blue who agreed wrong.

STOP PRESS: Player moves to Man City for money purposes only.
shewore
At least some people are honest.

STOP PRESS: Arsenal are like United and don't sign players where a transfer fee is involved! Campbell = Gamble.
Kevinho
Yeah, signing someone on a free's a real gamble eh, how'd you work that one out!? Stones, houses, glass, Vieira - put those into a sentence Kev.
shewore
I'll let you do that, you're the wannabe proof reader afterall Shewore.

Paddy's choice: Stay at Inter with limited chances, whilst his national manager has made clear he will not be involved in his last World Cup without playing regularly, or, move to Man City, where he has a more realistic chance of reguar football under a manager that still believes he can produce the goods and getting paid handsomely for his trouble.....hmmmmm I wonder which I'd go for.
Bluedub
I would suggest that PV wants one last go at the world cup, saves him and the missus having to book a holiday, when they can go for free, courtesy of La Belle Francais.

it doesnt make an ounce of sense it being on a front page poll when you get ARSEnal tossers who want to vote one certain way. - - - pointless
bluemooner_mcfc
Why does it have to be one and not a multitude of factors. A born winner, leader, patriot and multi-millionaire would suggest that he could have more noble reasons for wanting to sign.... or maybe he's just very religious and wants to redeem himself from previous sins of playing in the devil's colour! He has signed for God's own club afterall!

How much did we pay for Vieira? Can someone remind me.
Thaibluefan
For the record I think it's for the WC with the little added comfort of the old boys network that Mancini can provide. And I didn't vote in that muggy little poll.
shewore
Can virtually guarantee that Vieira would have gone back to l'arse if Monsieur Stingy hadn't baulked at his wages.
