Well they only hosted the World Cup in 1994 and should be towards the back of the queue, England should certainly be hosting another World Cup finals before the USA.

Worst candidates ever. It's not even as if the team benifit from automatic qualification- their group is the worst on the entire world, boasting footballing nations such as Panama and Caribbean island nations.

1994 despite us not being there was a fantastic World Cup... I just think it's a bit soon to have it again... especially bearing in mind England.. the home of football... have only had it once and last hosted it in 1966.

I say you lot in England get to host it in 2018 and then we rich ********s across the pond get to host it in 2022. Our game is imporving every year so we don't need the auto qualification. When our domestic wages for "propper" footie players approaches that of the NFL, NBA and MLB, then the US will start seeing it's best atheletes playing proper footie and not just in the net either. When that happens, the world may want to finally take notice. The USA will be a footie power one day.... not saying by 2022, but someday. Donovan looked good in his Debut. Not a world beater but a good footie player in the top footie league for sure.

State-side City Fan - On the subject of American players I like Clint Dempsey from Fulham and I'd sign him at City if it was up to me although I'm not exactly sure how he'd fit into the team, he is a very good player with a good eye for goal.
