Old Trafford Tickets Required For Manchester Derby

Old Trafford tickets for the Manchester derby scheduled to take place on Wednesday 27th January 2010 are sold out, however, if for some reason you are not able to go, can you please read the following message.

Joe0161 from our forums wrote...

Hi guys,

Getting desperate now. I'd really like (verging on a desperate need) to buy 2 tickets for the Semi Final Away Leg at the Swamp. I don't want to pay crazy prices but I am willing to go a little over face value for them due to demand.

Unfortunately, the person I was going to buy them from, who I was put into contact with through these forums is now able to attend the away leg due to the games being postponed. (Well I say 'unfortunately' but I'm glad he's able to make it now coz he's a top lad!) My only other option is to ask my local supporters club but I'm guessing that's going to be too much of a long shot!

Does anyone have any tickets for this game spare or which they no longer need (because they can't attend etc)?

If not, I'll have to watch it in town but I can imagine the Manure fans will get all irate when we inevitably knock them out of the cup and I don`t want to have to stand alone against them like last time

Any help will be very much appreciated.

City sold out their allocation in a few days. Similarly, the game at CoMS has been sold out for a while. Interestingly, the rags still have tickets for the swamp return-leg available, despite forcing their season ticket holders to buy whether they want to or not. I'd welcome comments from any manure fans out there in blogland who were taking the p1ss a week or so ago out of City for not selling all of our tickets. Feel free to explain folks! http://www.manutd.com/default.sps?pagegid={23A882F1-4E52-4C1A-816E-FB505E82E076}&newsid=6643725&lid=SplashTktsHosp

Maybe its because the Carling cup is 4th in line of desirable trophies for man united. Having won every trophy their is to win in the last 4 seasons alone, winners of 10+ premierships and seeing Champions league football every season i assume this is no biggie for them. City on the other hand last won this trophy or indeed any other trophy over 30 years ago. Enjoy it, you deserve it, im sure it will be the first of many.

Cheers Paul, we will indeed enjoy it provided we get there. I reckon the problem with the rags not selling all of their tickets is that the plastic fans they used to rely on have already started decamping to pastures new, and the remaining fans are being priced out of going by the lovely Glazers. I just find it a bit rich that they have been taking the p1ss out of us for not selling out, when the revers is clearly the case!
