City Need To Do A Ricky Hatton

Following Saturday's 2-0 defeat against Everton, Manchester City need to pick themselves off the floor and come out fighting.

Our next test comes on Tuesday night when Manchester rivals, United travel to a sold out Eastlands in what is described as the most eagerly awaited derby in years. A win in the first leg of the Carling Cup semi-final is crucial if City are to progress to the final.

We all know boxing legend Ricky Hatton is a true Blue, and now he's decided to return to the ring, perhaps MCFC should follow his example and find that killer punch.

Hatton is finished - yesterday's man! Whereas I hope you have more ambition and fire left in your bellies!

Agree with tommytheblue, sort of. We need to continue the good work in organising the team to play as a unit, attacking as one and defending as one - there will be no place for workshy fecks like Robinho, if we don't show the Rags the same respect Everton gave us, they will have us for breakfast (albeit an evening breakfast!). Hopefully Bobby Manc has got all he needs to know about the squad out of the last few games, and will save all future experiments until we're 3 - 0 up with twenty minutes to go, not from the kick-off, or even 5 minutes into the game. Excellent gratuitous use of Ricky Hatton footage 'tho, he is a Boxing Legend, whoever you support.

Hey Merlin, wouldn't like to say that to Ricky's face, finished or not!! Pretty sure he has plenty of fire and ambition in his not insubstantial belly! All the best Ricky, I still love you anyhow.
