Possible Crowd Disorder At Old Trafford?

Rumours circulating Manchester suggest Wednesday night's Carling Cup semi-final second leg tie between City and United could go off with a BANG.

If this is true the Greater Manchester Police (GMP) and the Old Trafford stewards are going to have their work cut out. Only a couple of days ago the authorities confiscated darts, golf balls and flares from several United (so-called) fans trying to enter the City of Manchester Stadium for the Carling Cup first leg and we all saw what happened during the Blue Moon introduction.

Beware!

Police intelligence gatherers monitor football forums such as ours to see if there is any real possibility of violent disorder prior to, during and after the match and Wednesday night's game at Old Trafford is no different. The latest intelligence / rumour, call it what you will appears to focus on the pre-match build up. However, this is where I have to stop.

Let me explain

If any internet forum webmaster allowed one of its members to post something similar to this...(time, date and location, 'SHALL WE CORNER THE RAGS AS THEY LEAVE THE 'MICKY MOUSE' PUB NEAR THE SWAMP JUST BEFORE KICK-OFF AND GIVE THEM A KICK-IN' then that would be an offence I.E inciting violence. Put simply, the webmaster could be nicked and the site closed down.

I have made my forum moderators aware of any possible threads / posts and to delete them immediately. Thankfully Vital Manchester City members are a sensible lot but we have newbies joining all of the time. Any suspicious activity will be dealt with appropriately - simples!!

Let's hope Wednesday's game goes off without any serious incidents and that Manchester City come away worthy winners.

Well said, we dont want our glorious victory remembered for the wrong reasons. The Rags showed exactly why they are the most hated bunch in the league when they came to Eastlands.

exactly, lets show the rags and the world how real football fans behave.

eigthsin - is that you in that picture above matey ? lol :0)
bluemooner_mcfc
back to the topic though - theres no place for this in football or in society and anyone wishing to do it should be locked up and banned from football for life.

Don't hold out much hope for the police trying to stop 65000 red muppets from kicking off. Although saying that, it's more than likely that at least 40k or so of them will be japanese tourists, so they might have a chance against 25k idiots.

i hope and pray that, a) City get the right result, and b) The Moronic****s who tried to take the GAME of FOOTBALL back to the dark ages of the 70/80s are arrested, and the Swamp game goes off peacefully..
