Terry Sacked Over Indiscretions In the Sack

It has been reported that after meeting England boss Fabio Capello earlier today, John Terry has been stripped of his England captaincy.

The Chelsea love rat's indiscretions came to light after a judge overturned a gagging order, allowing the media to publish details of the sordid affair involving the former girlfriend of ex-Chelsea team-mate, England colleague and friend, Wayne Bridge.

City stars previously showed their backing for England full-back Bridge during the 2-0 win over Portsmouth donning 'Team Bridge' t-shirts, and with a number of players in and around the England set-up, it was hard to see how Terry could maintain any sort of respect in the dressing room.

According to SkySports News, the meeting with Capello only lasted 12 minutes while the Italian delivered the verdict on the man crowned 'Dad of the Year' by Daddies Sauce.

It has been suggested by a number of Sports sponsorship experts that like Tiger Woods before him, Terry looks set to lose out big time on future sponsorship deals.

The Guardian stated earlier today that Umbro have refused to comment on its £4m endorsement deal with Terry. It remains to be seen what repercussions will follow this latest turn of events.

Should Terry have been sacked? How will Terry and Bridge cope together in the England squad? Have your say NOW. Register here and enjoy getting involved.

Stevie G should always have got the captains armband anyway, but now im thinking maybe rooney should be captain. his aggression and desire to win would be a real lift for the whole england setup.

That is fantastic news - Rooney should be captain definitely
SkyBlueSuedeShoes
I'd go with Gerrard any day of the week

So we replace a love rat with a guy who beat up a bloke in a pug because the music was too loud?!? How about Rio (drugs test fiasco)? Ashley Cole (love rat?)? Joe Cole (play boy)... Oh give it to Carrick and ruin our world cup chances.
DrWatford
Give it to Super Frankie Lampard!
merlin
I've heard Ferdinand will replace him

Granny shagger rooney, bar brawler gerrard, 911 mocker lampard, drug ban ferdinand... is ANYONE fit for captain!? Vote for the future england captain on the front page poll.

LMAO, 8th! Don't forget Cashley Cole the racing driver! An admirable bunch of multi-millionaires.

beckham, lampard, gerrard, rio and (might be the blackburn in me here) Paul robinson! would all make good england captains
LHrover
Give it Chuckle Neville.

I think that today will go down as the day that Englands 2010 World Cup hopes ended once the usual inquest is carried out following our usual failure again this summer - Roll on 2014. No doubt that new England captain Rio Ferdinands ban for violent conduct will now be downgraded to 3 matches as opposed to an increased 5 match ban for his 2nd frivolous appeal.

RIO FERDINAND? WTF? Is this guy even going to make it to the world cup? Missed drugs tests, outside interests, gansta mates and a current violent conduct ban. With players like Gerrard, Ferdinand Terry & Defoe, we don't deserve to win the world cup. Captain Turdinand. MEH!
fifthcolumnblue
For once, just once, i agree with merlin - Lampard for me as captain.
Thaibluefan
The team manager should decide, having stripped JT in the first place. At the top level I dont think it matters that much to the teams performance, they are all the best that England have in each spot.

Camel Gob England Captain. FFS. The turning circle of an articulated lorry, ravaged with injuries and already resorting to flying elbows such is his lack of pace.
