Blue Moon Rising

Yes its true City are in a great position going into the Stoke game. Two wins and just look where we could be.

Barclays Premiership Pld Pts
1 Chelsea 26 58
2 Manchester United 26 57
3 Arsenal 26 52
4 Liverpool 26 44
5 Manchester City 24 44
6 Tottenham Hotspur 26 43
7 Aston Villa 25 42
8 Birmingham City 25 37
9 Everton 25 35

And if you're asking then yes I am getting excited! A Champions' League spot is looking as likely as its ever done.

Liverpool and Spurs lost tonight and Villa drew against ten bumpkins apparently!

Chelsea have also played as badly as we did against Everton and Hull so that fills me with much more enthusiasm going into this month's hectic schedule.

Who are your two games in hand against? Win those two and you could be right up with us
gunnerkid107
Stoke A and Liverpool H. Difficult but we can do it.
Lando78
Is that a typo? One of your games in hand on Liverpool can't be against Liverpool.
gunnerkid107
if you put it like that and we win, then it will be like three games in hand.
Lando78
No Lando the two games in hand are Stoke (a) and Everton (h)

So long as Portsmouth stay as a league side, that is
BlueWolfie
Can you imagine the uproar if we had six points deucted because of Pompey going into administration, and losing out on 4th by six points or worse getting into europe full stop, the ***** would really hit the fan and rumours of corruption whould be rife in the FA for fearing the top 4 monopoly was coming to an end
SIR TROYSTER
Portsmouth will more than likely go into administration and not go bust, well not until the end of the season. I simply can't see the Premier League bosses allowing it. Can you?
Tudor
Lats night was good but I've just checked our run in compared to our rival teams and ours is by far the toughest. We need to really step up if we're going to claim that fourth spot. I just hope that all those draws under Hughes don't harm us.
SkyBlueSuedeShoes
See the thing with Portsmouth is that surely if everyone got deducted points it would have an effect on each team's total come the end of the season and even itself out
arthur7171
And we did the double over Pompey...
Johnny Baguette
I would stress caution because this season is so unpedictable, city have a crap away record and possible point deduction if portsmouth go under will KO our season. Would that be just our luck.
Super City Slicker
What's this about people getting deducted because of portsmouth? How is that anyones fault?
los_angeles_villan
if portsmouth go into liquidation they cannot fulfil their fixtures and their record will be expunged, meaning any result against them is null and void, and we end up with a 36 game season. great news for the clubs who have lost or drawn to portsmouth, bad news for clubs like us who will drop six points.
dakeb
If we can win our games in hand and beat Arsenal we're in great shape for even 3rd place. Imagine that.
