Possible Teams: City v Stoke

Possible Teams: City v Stoke

Many have forgotten that City are still in the FA Cup after all attention has been on the Premier League. City face Stoke on Saturday, and with three of the big four already out of the competition, it represents the perfect opportunity to get Wembley. However, back to the team news. Craig Bellamy is out but he should be fit for the crucial Liverpool game on the 21st. Vincent Kompany is rated doubtful after suffering a recurrence of his groin injury. Kolo Toure and Micah Richards are expected to be fit after recovering from knee and calf injuries respectively. Finally and unfortunately, Adam Johnson is cup-tied after playing against City early in January.

Here is the team that I think Roberto will opt for:

City Line-Up:

(4-4-3)

1) Given
-
5) Zabaleta - 28) Toure - 19) Lescott - 3) Bridge
-
34) de Jong - 24) Vieira - 18) Barry
-
32) Tevez - 25) Adebayor - 17) Petrov
-
-
Here is the team I would like to see:

City Line-Up:

(4-3-1-2)

1) Given
-
5) Zabaleta - 28) Toure -19) Lescott - 3) Bridge
-
34) de Jong - 24) Vieira - 18) Barry
-
7) Ireland
-
32) Tevez - 25) Adebayor
-
-
However, this option would give us no width so you could also go with the following:

City Line-Up:

(4-4-2)

1) Given
-
5) Zabaleta - 28) Toure - 19) Lescott - 3) Bridge
-
8) Wright-Phillips - 34) de Jong - 24) Vieira - 17) Petrov
-
32) Tevez - 25) Adebayor
-
-
What team would you go for?

I think a few youngsters might get a game like Ibrahim in midfield. Hopefully Barry will get a rest. I prefer the final line-up you made, except I would play Ireland instead of De Jong.

How about giving Tevez a rest and put him on the bench for a 'just in case'. If Mancini does that he can play Ade and RSC together up front.
