FA Cup: Chelsea Away If City Can Win At Stoke

FA Cup: Chelsea Away If City Can Win At Stoke

'You couldn't make it up' as Wayne Bridge will no doubt be saying tonight as Uber Chav John Terry and co will host The Citizens in the Quarter Final if the Stoke replay can be won...

If anything, this represents something of a blow to City having been beaten by one of 'The Big Four' in the League Cup Semi-Final. On current disjointed form, you'd be hard pressed to back City who will be at Chelsea in the League at the end of this month.

Bizarrely, City could face consecutive fixtures against Chelsea, mirroring the current grapple with Stoke.

The FA confirm:

Ties will be played over the weekend of March 6 and 7.

Winning clubs in the Sixth Round will each receive £360,000 from The FA's Prize Fund. Pompey will certainly be holding out for that.

City's replay at the Britannia Stadium takes place on February 24th.

The draw in full:
Chelsea v Stoke City or CITY
Fulham v Bolton or Spurs
Reading or WBA v Crystal Palace or Villa
Portsmouth v Birmingham City
