Possible Teams: City v Liverpool

Possible Teams: City v Liverpool

Team News:

Carlos Tevez is still in Argentina with his wife after the extremely premature birth of his daughter. I wish Carlos the best and hope he can get back as soon as possible because we`re really missing him. I`ve heard that he may even struggle to get back for out game next weekend at Stamford Bridge. Another man in the news this week is Patrick Vieira after being handed a 3 match suspension for a petty little kick at Glenn Whelan on Tuesday night. Vieira will now miss the Liverpool game, the Stoke replay and the Chelsea game. In my opinion, this is almost a good thing as it will prompt Vieira to focus on his match fitness.

Martin Petrov faces one month on the sidelines after aggravating an old knee problem .Like Vieira, I don`t see Petrov being a big loss because he likes to talk about how he didn`t get his chance under Hughes but when he plays now he appears to put no effort in. Finally, I am unsure about the fitness of Vincent Kompany, there has been no news from anyone so I only suspect he is still injured. A shame because now we`re stuck with Toure (but he should have a better game against a less aerially dominating side - Liverpool)

Here is the team that I would like to see and the team that I also think Roberto could go with:

City Line-Up:

(4-4-2)
-
1) Given
-
2) Richards - 28) Toure (c) - 19) Lescott - 3) Bridge
-
8) Wright-Phillips - 34) de Jong - 18) Barry - 11) A Johnson
-
25) Adebayor - 39) Bellamy
-
-
And here is the team that I think Rafa will opt for:

Liverpool Line-Up:
-
(4-2-3-1)
-
25) Reina
-
23) Carragher - 37) Skrtel - 5) Agger - 22) Insua
-
20) Mascherano - 21) Lucas
-
17) Maxi - 8) Gerrard (c) - 11) Riera
-
18) Kuyt
-
-
What team would you go for?

I hope mancini does pick the team above. Id like to see bellamy upfront. But i reckon he will play zableta in midfield, as the manager likes playing three narrow midfilders home and away. I doubt swp will start.

Thats the perfect line-up IMO. Don't know if Bellamy will get the start due to these training bust-up rumors that have been going around. Hopefully they are just rumors.
