'If It's Football, It's Vital'

VMC Man Of The Match Versus Liverpool

It's been coming. The tremendous work rate of Pablo Zabaleta, the Bobby MacDonald of the side stood out a mile in the turgid Liverpool nil niller...

It's often forgotten that Zabaleta only just turned 25 years old. The Argentian and his lung bursting efforts has already intimated his love for City and how he hopes he'll be here for many years to come.

Zaba now has 59 City starts to his name since he left Espanyol 1.5 years ago. It's testament to his tenacity that he has been able to nudge a resurgent Micah Richards out of the side on and off in recent times.

Zaba is a proper footballer in almost an old fashioned sense and is very often the side's unsung hero.

When City dig in for victory at Stoke this week, his aggression will be important, provided he doesn't dive into the tackles too often!!

Emmanuel Adebayor's tireless running is noted as is another commanding performance from Vincent Kompany, the man who would be skipper.
