Sportcity Being Prepared For £500m Facelift

Land surrounding the City of Manchester Stadium is being prepared for a £500m leisure project and stadium expansion.

According to www.building.co.uk Arup and Turner & Townsend have been drafted in to prepare the land around Manchester City's stadium for a major leisure complex.

An unknown source said...

'It looks like they're preparing the ground to unlock the development potential around the stadium in two to three years. They're also looking at expanding the stadium's capacity, but the club's Abu Dhabi owners are unlikely to want to make a big noise about it right now with millions of pounds of fees unpaid in the Middle East.'

Another source, supposedly from MCFC said...

'The project is yet to be finalised and we will give out more information in due course.'

This all sounds very promising, however I would much rather we focused on getting it right on the pitch first.

This sounds great and hopefully it will put an end to the council house jibes which eminate from those at the Theatre Of Debt.
