VMC Post Match Reaction To Chelsea Stunner



They came, they saw, they conquered. A fired up City completed the double over Chelsea with a jaw dropping win as the hosts discipline collapsed. Time for some quotes...

Wayne Bridge, inexplicably booed by unfocused Chelsea supporters from start to substitution had the last laugh and more besides...

Roberto Mancini

'This was not the best performance under my management, that was at Stoke and we lost. We dominated that game but we didn't do so in this one. We showed great spirit and great commitment after what happened to us at Stoke.

'It was fantastic that we won because it was important for the three points, for the table, for the mentality and for the future as we battle to finish in the top four.

'Wayne Bridge coped well with everything that happened and Carlos Tevez was tremendous. In fact if he plays like that he can go back to Argentina every week and come back before the game!'


Carlo Ancelotti:

'John Terry did not make one mistake today.
The first goal was not his fault and I see no reason to take him out of the side. I am not interested in the non-handshakes

Mancio has taken a lot of stick in recent weeks and he remains cool in the interview. Three days off for the players now!

Performance of the season. We havent been beaten in the league in 90mins against the top4. Now we need to beat the top4 contenders villa and spurs at home to finish the season in style. Dejongs words summed it up nicely, the club, players and fans wanted this win for wayne, more than anything else.
