'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Disappointing Robinho Bridge Burning Continues

Many of us expected it so there isn't that great a surprise in finding De Souza Robinho gobbing off again about Manchester City. Roberto Mancini is this week's target...

Robinho's abysmal performance as a substitute who ended up substituted himself in City's lacklustre defeat at Everton in January, so pisspoor were his efforts, will live long in the memory and clearly the man who helped dismantle the Republic of Ireland's rubbish defence this week hasn't forgotten it either as Dan Taylor at The Grauniad reveals:

'I spoke to the manager after the game. He admitted to me that he had made a mistake taking me off. It was the first time I have had to go through something like that in my career but I suppose there's always a first time. It wasn't a lack of respect, though. I just think it was a lack of ability on the part of the manager.'

That's a shot at Mancio struck with more venom than anything we saw from Robinho this season.

Could City's manager really have been so confused and apologetic? His track record and standing in the game would suggest otherwise.

Robinho, now settled on loan at Santos in Brazil plying his trade against defences that would struggle in the English Conference league didn't stop there:

'At City, when I was playing, I knew that at some point the substitution board would go up and I was going to come off because the manager didn't have trust in me. Then, you start to lose your confidence on the pitch.'

A return to the Premier League is almost certainly out of the question for this talented player now.

Having already proved he isn't up to the physical challenge, he's increasingly losing credibility with repeated digs at the club who own his signature. These digs will resonate through a support who stuck by him throughout his struggles.

Does he have the capacity to realise WE hold his registration and Mancini WILL order him back and i've no doubt Mancini WILL put him in the reserves. Fist of iron that one!

Robbie needs to shut his mouth or like you say RobsonGreensleeves Mancini will take him back in the summer and let him rot in the reserves for the next two to three years.

Reminds me of the way tevez started talking just before he left united. Funny how every argentine we get seems to leave in bad circumstances and the brazillians you have seem to do the same. Yet when you put a brazillian in a united shirt or an argie in a city shirt - they are fine.

Robinho is a good player in the back water that is the Brazillian league, where you have time to ponce around and no-one tackles any one, Ideal for a young pretender, but a world's best player Doubtful Robbie, he needs to have a look at Kaka, WHO has won over the European crowds, and made a suucessful life in Europe some thing HE hasn't done, and he needs to knuckle down and keep his bloody GOB shut....

What a loser. He is so far up his own its unbelievable. He needs to get off his high horse and realise that he isn't as good as he thinks. He hardly set the world on fire and came under constant criticism. I was begging that Robbie would be subbed against Everton as he was pathetic. Lack of ability on the managers side, pot kettle.
