Match Day On Vital Manchester City

After a two week hiatus, City's mini-season of 11 make or break fixtures starts today at Sunderland. Follow the action and analysis with VMC...

The battle for Champions League qualification is becoming white hot and City are right in the thick of it.

Followers of both The Citizens and The Mackems can follow the action via the popular VMC Live Match Thread with VMC's worldwide membership in our soon to be overhauled forums:

MATCHDAY THREAD: Sunderland v Man City - Sun March 14 - KO: 16:00 UK Time

More than ever this is a time for Planet Blue to come together and help the squad take us into the promised land of top flight European football. Can The Blues do it?

Roberto Mancini:

'There will be no such thing as an easy game for the rest of the season - they just don't exist! Every one of these last 11 games will be difficult.

'We have to really want to reach that fourth place, and show that in the way we play each game, starting on Sunday. That's the reason for everything we will do now for the rest of this season.'

There are no easy games, but if City are to be one of the best, then they have to compete in every match, not sure that they have done that on a few occasions this season. The team in form in this run in will get the prize, lets hope it is us.

We've gotta keep the pressure on Spurs....desperately need the 3 points today!

The way things are going it's going to go the wire and I see Spurs ast the biggest threat. What a game that rearranged fixture will be! Goal difference could even decide it with Wigan's 9-1 rollover at Spurs still registering it's effect.

We need Slumberland to come out and attack us. They got a good win in midweek and should come out firing. This will play into our hands and we can hit them on the break. If they play defensively (Brucie doesn't like what's happening at little Ciddy...) then it will be difficult to break them down. 3-2 win for us.

I'm actually looking forward to the run in, Spurs are playing at their maximum ability i'd say (which is below Evertons max ability), whilst i can't remember the last time we truly did, i'm including the Chelsea win in that as i thought we won that at about 70% of what we are capable of in the 2nd half and 25% in the first. I don't see Spurs streaking ahead of us despite their purple patch do you?! It's ours.

Let's put one over the elephant man for old time's sake eh? And if Spurs pip us to the post? The internet will probably break under the strain of all the crowing cocks!
