Going to Birmingham has done him the world of good. His attitude is also top notch, the lad just wants to play football. If he is already in contention for England no.1 at this stage in his career, imagine how good he can be with a few more seasons under his belt. I think we need to hang on to him at all costs.

We did the same with Joe Corrigan, we he went to Crewe under Harry Greg, came back a much better keeper, The modern Joe, will have learnt a lot at Birmingham and should be able to challenge the number one spot at City, this can only be good for both keepers, keeps them on their toes so to speak.

Totally agree keep Joe at Birmingham and happy and let him get even more experience in South Africa as England's number one for he's much better than Rob Green and David James.

We have to hold on to this lad. France Football ran a feature on top breakthrough young English footballers yesterday and he was first in the queue.
