'If It's Football, It's Vital'

If Not Us For 4th... WHO?

Vital Football editors from Vital Villa, Vital Spurs, Vital Man City, Vital Liverpool and Vital Everton all got together.... which was nice.... and asked on our respective sites:

If we can't make 4th, who do you want to finish there?

Vital Villa results:

Everton 55%
Spurs 36%
Liverpool 5%
Man City 4%

Vital Spurs results, as written by OxfordSpur 'In Eurovision fashion:'

Aston Villa a ridiculous 43%
Everton an un-ambitious 38%
Man City a wealthy 11%
Liverpool a crushing 8%

Vital Liverpool results:

Villa 42%
Spurs 31%
Man City 18%

Surprised to see any votes for this one, but Everton got 9% ... a visit from some Toffees you'd think?

Vital Man City came in with Spurs and Villa joint:

Villa 44%
Spurs 44%
Everton 7%
Liverpool 5%

And finally, the long shots at Vital Everton came up with:

Spurs 52%
Aston Villa 38%
Man City 7%

and of course, a predictable Liverpool 3%

Proving exactly what? Well, nothing really, but interesting nevertheless!

Obvious that no-one wants us to clinch it through pure jealousy. I don't want anyone to get it if we don't, end of.
Once a Blue
Nice to know that nobody loves us.

Ah, but people love Liverpool even less. Personally, I'm a little embarrassed as a Villa fan that we're as 'loved' as we are (though no real football fan loves any club other than his own). If you're hated, it shows you're doing something right. Therefore, that we're not shows we aren't.
Albarnista
That was never an easy poll for City fans! Nice to see our Spurs pals helped us along, lol!

I dislike everton (moaning moyes), liverpool (define right to win everthing) and especially spurs (most deluded, jealous, hateful fans of all time). Ideally id love to see fulham do it, but that wont be possible. Fans fear what city can realistically achieve over the next few years. The polls above prove this.
Super City Slicker
Spuds fans have been very quiet the last couple of days.
Bluedub
City have always been a very popular club with other teams supportes, but with obscene amounts of money to spend comes resentment etc. It happened with Chelski, and I'm afraid will happen with Citeh as well. The other reason Villa fans don't want Citeh to get 4th is of course the circumstances in which Gareth Barry left (totally different to Richard Dunne). However, I think City are strong favourites now and will obviously have the finances to compete seriously in the CL
krfeskivilla
Barry gave Villa over ten years service, should he not be commended for that? He fancied a change in his career and a nice wage to boot, surely putting bias aside you can understand why he felt it was a good move for him.
Bluedub
Gazzer Bazzer looked better at Burnley for the rest he got against Wigan.
Johnny Baguette
Gareth Barry left Villa because he didn't believe that he would achieve what he wants to with us. I think he was right to think so, and made a good decision in going to City. Dunne left Man City because he wasn't going to be first-choice. Barry was going up in the world, and that's what I think hurts Villa fans. Dunne was moving for first-team football, and the only reason he may have been missed at City is because Lescott has missed so many games. Mind you, Dunne is a darn sight better than Toure, from whom I don't think City will see any value.
Albarnista
Can't argue with that Albarnista. Richard Dunne was a City stalwart who'd gone stale after so many years. Credit to MON and Villa for reviving his career and 99% of City fans are delighted he's doing well for you. Toure on the other hand was stale when we bought him!
fifthcolumnblue
Toure's certainly is a strange case. Wasn't it a virus he contracted a few years ago that knocked him for six, and from which he's never properly recovered?
