Race Four 4th Update: City v Spurs To The Death!

Race Four 4th Update: City v Spurs To The Death!

Calling Blues, Whites, Reds and Villains again. The game looks to be up for Liverpool and Villa so it's City and Spurs to the death for that Champions League Holy Grail..!

The Reds look to have settled for a shot at Europa League glory whereas Villa appear to have once again run out of steam at the business end of the season.

Meanwhile, Spurs bizarre FA Cup defeat to Portsmouth means they can now focus on slugging it out with City to be the side that finally breaks 'The Big Four's' monopoly.

City's sensational run of form has been countered with Spurs being full value for the control they exerted over a toothless and indecisive Arsenal at White Hart Lane.

Shrewd City gaffer Roberto Mancini was at the game and looked suavely impassive as Spurs turned up the heat on The Citizens.

On that evidence and the atmosphere the Spurs fans generated, surely they will fancy their chances next up, again at home, against a Chelsea side who struggled to overcome Bolton this week.

City now face their own derby and it's set up to be a humdinger with The Blues eager for revenge over the 97th minute league defeat last September and the injury time League Cup exit, both at the swamp.

Despite what many hacks have typed all week, this race is not done and dusted by a long shot and City and Spurs' 5th May clash at Eastlands has D-Day written all over it!

And in a sensational twist, City and Spurs are about to have a say in who the Premier League champions are going to be!

Lord have mercy.

Both ourselves and Spuds have the fate in our own hands. Win all our games we get it, Spuds win theirs they get it, i'm still thinking we have what it takes, fantastic finale.

God this is too tense for me. It's gonna change every week, it will all come down to may 5th.
14/04/2010 22:52:00
It's up to us both not to let the scouse through the back door. We've both got really hard run ins. Obviously I would love the Spurs to grab it but for the way you play your footie and for your genuine diehard fans, you would be my second choice. If it comes down to the last game of the season, expect a 10 goal thriller!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

As a Spurs fan I am glad it looks likely to be either City or us. At least we like to play football. Both teams have tough run ins so it will be interesting. Good luck but naturally i hope it will be spurs.

*****. I can't remember the last time I was this happy. I bloody love this game. To feel so low, dejected, pointless, clueless, why do i bother kind of attitude after slumping out of the cup to Pompey and then to feel as high as this. Life's amazing. Beating the scum, the perfect tonic to semi final defeat!!!
14/04/2010 23:25:00
Similar difficulty fixtures, its all gonna hinder on the game at eastlands lads, should be a cracker.

I reckon we will draw with chelsea lose to man u beat bolton draw with city and beat burnley leaving us with 69 points and i think city will beat united lose to arsenal draw with villa draw with us and draw with the hammers leaving them with 68 points, but the odd decision could change it all..
