'If It's Football, It's Vital'

A Rush And A Push And Fourth Place Is Ours

It's the VMC weekly Race Four Fourth update and as City fans re-focus after derby defeat, we see Spurs back in the driving seat and Liverpool and Villa gaining ground...

What a see-saw ding-dong battle this is proving to be!

The fact is that if either City or Spurs can consistently get their form together now, they will join that Holy Grail of the European elite next season. Win your remaining fixtures and you will be there and that's definitive for The Blues and The Whites.

Spurs are surely this week's favourites having seen off Arsenal and Chelsea in fine style.

Many people at SportCity maintain that City's clash with Spurs at Eastlands next month will be the fourth place decider, but that will not be the case if The Blues fail to bank points elsewhere. That chastening defeat to the rags has proved a real shot across the bows of Roberto Mancini's previously resurgent ship.

Liverpool and Villa both posted wins that saw them close in on City. Villa travel to Hull tonight in a bid to overtake Liverpool and move within a point of City.

The efforts of Villa, Spurs and City have all helped contribute to making this the most exciting Premier League in many years.

My money is on Manchester City.

'Can't buy you lo-ove' - Spurs are in the driving seat but we'll probably lose to Burnley on the last day. If you beat L'Arse which isn't unthinkable you will have the swingometer in your favour. I hope that we don't have to beat you on your turf. Shaping up to be the game of the season!

COULD IT BE THIRD- Is it not mathematically possible that ifArsenallose their last 3 games or even 2 then spurs or city could get 3rd spot city would have to get it on goal difference but if spurs won all 4 final games they could win by 2 clear points even if Arsenal win one of the last three games
gabidan
We normally do well at City so even though its likely to be a decider - Spurs for me
arpant
Its tight, and it will go down to the wire. Last day ofthe season stuff with Citeh at Wet Spam who will be clinging on to thier PL status. It Spurs' to lose!

Spurs have an easier run in but we can beat all those teams if we don't try and win it by just a goal. If that happens we'll always lose out in the last minute. Come on lads - its all to play for!!

Everyone says the City-Spurs game will be the decider. But that is not necessarily so. Both sides have tough games this weekend, but after that Spurs have it much easier than City.

i'm shatting myself with excitement.

for me its still city... just. Spurs will only get a maximum of 6 more points. So id City can win against us and Villa both at home then they will make it and fair play to you if you do.

i think if we beat bolton at home and burnley away and dnt lose at middle eastlands its 100% ours, and that doesn't sound that hard to do
