Joe Hart & Adam Johnson

Manchester City and Three Lions keeper, Joe Hart played in England's second half 3-1 win over Mexico but did he do enough to claim the number 1 shirt from either Robert Green or David James?

England boss Fabio Capello gave the only other City starlet, Adam Johnson five minutes practice before the referee blew the full time whistle but was he given enough time to impress and book his ticket to South Africa.

I worry about England defensively, particularly at centre back. Never mind the injury prone fragility, I don't think there is enough pace there to control the worlds fastest strikers. Add James into the equation and we'd be playing with fire. SWP, Johnno and Harty's last stand will come against Japan. News of Gaz Barry any hour now..

I agree JB, Baines was beaten too easily at left back, maybe nerves, but needed to be more solid, Thought |Johnsons goal wasa cracker and Adam Johnson did well for the few minutes he was on the pitch. Joe hart looked 100% better for his spell at Birmingham and may well give Shay a run for his money for the number 1 jersey at City.

I agree the defence looks shaky. In my opinion the best going at the back would be King and Terry. Dont rate Ferdinand at all tbh. Lovely for King to mark his comeback with a goal and G.Johnson had a cracker of a game and a goal! Think Walcott is the best for the right as his pace adds a bit of something else but the other wing could be anybody - wouldnt be suprised if it was Johnno as he did very well when he came on. Crouch will always get you a goal ... but i dont fancy him starting in the world cup. So ... the game has gave us more questions than answered. Good luck Fab Cap

Lennon or Swp are twice the players Theo Walcott is, and 10 times more consistant

Both Hart and Johnson should travel, leave James at home for me

Hart played to sets of 45mins and kept a clean sheet in both sets.
