Vladimir Weiss Hopes To Get The Nod From His Dad

Manchester City and Slovakia winger, Vladimir Weiss hopes to get the nod from his dad and play in this years World Cup.

Vladimir Weiss senior is Slovakia's national coach, but did you know that Master Weiss's granddad, yup you guessed it, Vladimir Weiss (senior senior) played for Czechoslovakia back in the days when the Iron Curtain covered much of Eastern Europe.

Weiss junior admits being the manager's son brings its own pressure.

'Back home there are a lot of haters. I wasn't getting that many games at Manchester City so for my dad to pick me; it must have been a very hard decision.'

'There were no problems at all with the other players but there were always people back home not really happy about it.'

'I had to prove myself to them and I think I've done that.'

Three guesses as to what Vladimir Weiss junior son will be called?

Can anyone see Weiss playing for us next season or will he be farmed out on loan again. I for one would love to see him stay.
Tudor
I hope we keep the boy. He knows the club well and we certainly are no longer in a position where we have to offload.
Johnny Baguette
He played well on both flanks against NZ and has plenty of pace. Think he will be farmed out to Newcastle this season who have no money to buy much. Hope he can improve further and make his mark at Eastlands one day.

I didnt really like him when he was at Bolton
muur
Muur - did you see him playing? It was a case of blink and you'll miss him with the amount of game time he got.
