City Kick Off Against Top 4 Rivals

Put down the red and white facepaint and listen up, it's almost time to be a blue again.

As you are all well aware, the official fixture list for next season was released at 9.00am, so who's up first on our hit-list?

Manchester City will be thrust straight into the thick of things when they kick off against top 4 rivals Tottenham Hotspur at White Hart Lane on the opening day of the 2010/11 season.

This grudge match is followed an equally tough home fixture against Liverpool a week later, meaning that City will have to hit the ground running if they are to stake their claim for a much coveted Champions League position.

There are no runs of 'easy games' next season, and with two domestic cups and the Europa League taking their toll, it will be a long, gruelling, and at times, frustrating season - but one that could ultimately see us fighting for a grandstand finish.

For the full list of fixtures, please visit the official site.

We have no idea whether Tottenham are going to be better or worse next season so its hard to predict.

I think next season will be epic with the top 4 establishment crumbling away. If Everton started like they finished last season then we will have a real fight for the top spots. Goodbye Liverpool, United et al. Time for a new world order!

That is a seismic start to the season!
Johnny Baguette
Wow, what a start to any campaign. Its going to be a cracker, I can feel it.

Not the best of happy hunting grounds for us at the Lane.
Buzz Lightyear
Would take a draw against Spurs away, definitel a bogey ground for us. I think we can do Liverpool at home, they seem to be in chaos.
StuMCFC
We have to address them some time. This could be it. They won't be in any stride (maybe neither will we ) But our time has to come against Spurs. If they buy Richards that could be our advantage.
pedmachine
I'd be very happy with four points from the first two games.
Thaibluefan
2 points wouldn't be a disaster chaps ... come on Vlad light up the game!

As a Spurs fan, I can't wait for it! I think our two teams are destined for some great matches over the next few years! Realy hope that old top 4 are finally finished! Best of luck for next year!
