Roque Santa Cruz Could Be Bundesliga Bound

Borussia Dortmund are set to offer Manchester City striker Roque Santa Cruz a return to the Bundesliga, according to The Mirror.

The 28-year-old Paraguayan has been with Manchester City for exactly one year but due to one injury after another the former Blackburn Rovers forward has struggled to make any first team appearances.

Former City boss Mark Hughes brought Cruz to Eastlands in a £17.5m deal but the current coach, Roberto Mancini has reportedly had enough of the injury prone forward and is prepared to let him go to anyone who is willing to stump up £10m.

Currently, the Paraguayan World Cup squad member remains in South Africa following his teams penalty shootout win against Japan, but with City on the verge of signing David Silva from Valencia it appears Roque's days might be numbered.

Having spent the best part of eight years at Bayern Munich fellow Bundesliga giants Borussia Dortmund are thought to keeping an eye on the situation, and should developments swing in their favour Chairman Dr. Reinhard Rauball is thought to be prepared to stump up the cash.

We watch with baited breath.
