The Anti - City Venom Antidote

I'm a little upset at all these hack writers claiming that Manchester City players are ruining the English team simply because of the influx of foreign talent.

Vital Manchester City member, StuMCFC began the debate via our Man City forum with the headline, 'The anti-City venom gets worse - we're 'whores' now'. As expected this got one or two of our members hot under the collar.

'Can you believe a paid journalist wrote this? A Liverpool fan too- I have emailed my thoughts on it to City and also asked why they continue to sit on their backsides and not take action against such blatant slander.'

His rant began when he read a story published in the Daily Mirror by columnist Brian Reade. The article focused on how he thought Yaya Toure was 'seduced by the whore of world football.'

The thread attracted several replies, many of which were not exactly complimentary to the tabloid or its author. However, PhillyBlueMoon came up with the 'Anti-City Venom Antidote.'

'So, I'm a little upset at all these hack writers claiming that City players are ruining the English team and it's because of foreign talent taking over. I did a little research myself and found the following facts and figures on who has the most foreign players in their first teams. We'll go through all the teams to qualify for Europe last season in England: (all information was obtained through wikipedia).'

'So, as can plainly be seen, we are not the root cause of England's demise. Why isn't the writer of this article criticizing his own club for being almost 3/4ths foreign born players? It's unbelievable the s*** that some of these people get paid for.'
