Shay Will Be Ready

Manchester City number one shot-stopper, Shay Given told the official MCFC website that he expects to be ready for the beginning of the 2010/11 Premier League campaign.

Following his shoulder injury towards the end last season the 34-year-old, currently on a City tour of the USA said...

'I've been training on mats with the coach and physio. Maybe next week we'll take the mat away and keep building up.'

'Everything is going really really well and I'm looking forward to playing a game.'

Premier League Campaign

The Republic of Ireland international continued...

'I hope to be playing before we leave America and I'll definitely be playing for the start of the season.'

Will Bobby Manc stay with Shay or will Joe Hart stick around and fight for his place?

Shay Given's video interview can be found here.
