At last, we can forget about the World Cup and now concentrate on MCFC - Yipee!!

Bellers looks sharp.
Tudor
Ireland is also playing. Bellers should have scored.

Great to see Stevie playing but like many of us I fear for his City future.
Tudor
Its also comforting to see Joe Hart behind the sticks. I honestly think he'll nudge Given onto the bench but then again, what do I know (lol).
Tudor
***** defending: 0-1 down DOH!!
Tudor
Evening lads, it's basically our reserve team but I'd still hope for more than keep hoofing it and hoping bellers gets on the end of it. When will we learn!? BTW nice work Tudor!
darryl28
Hi darryl28: Have to agree mate, our reserves are holding their own against a decent team but from what I can see we're definately not out of it yet.
Tudor
could be on the end of a thrashing here! we have little or no attacking threat. whatsoever...
eighthsin
OMG 0-2 fecking 'ell
Tudor
A good wake up call for the defence, but nothing has changed tactically since last season, no outlets = hoof. Still, rather now than against the spuds
darryl28
H/T 0-2 and I can hear my pillow calling (02:22 BST) Night all.
Tudor
Good call on bed Tudor! You missed nothing.

Wish we'd have gone for that a bit more and tried to attack, I know Tevez would have given it a go. A game such as that does show though how important the likes of De Jong and Barry are in the team. Also shows how rubbish Jo is, Good night!

Wouldn't worry too much about this defeat folks - the Portuguese League kicks off next week, so Sporting were always going to be that much bette prepared for this game - and don't forget, we only had two/3 players who have even a remote chance of starting against Tottenham! Preseason means nothing.

Awful performance. It was like watching england :( Granted this is lisbon 5th or 8th pre season and it is their first choice team minus liedson, i thought city should have put up a better show. Viera, lescott and jo were dreadful. I hope viera plays as little this season as possible. A big improvement is needed on sunday.

I searched for adjectives last night. I kept murmuring them, and I shouted one or two. In the end, there weren't enough adjectives at all I didn't think. Not in the entire language.
roy harper
A generally turgid showing but we weren't anywhere near full strength and it's early, early days yet.
