MLS: Goals & Saves Of The Week Nominees

With Manchester City FC across the pond in North America for pre-season training I thought it would be a good idea to have a little look at their domestic league.

Major League Soccer is slowly but surely catching the imagination of hundreds of thousands of American sports fans. Stadium attendances and TV audiences are slowly but surely creeping up and interest from sponsors is looking healthy.

In a one-off special Vital Manchester City has decided to bring our readers the MLS goals and saves of the week nominees, (week 17 - 26 July 2010).

Enjoy.

As an American myself, I can say that MLS is slowly improving. It used to be a league with a lot of really fast paced games, bad passes, bad shots, and a very hurried feel to it. Luckily, over the past few seasons, the game has slowed down and the play has become a better product. Hopefully it will continue to improve.

Paddy V will be there next year Philly, he's bought that lavish loft apartment near central park. The MLS stock will continue to rise for sure.

the game is truly taking hold.... I was very disappointed when I saw the Man City vs Red Bull... I understand the concept of show casing the youth in the system, but they need to give the top line players mins also.. this is what so many of the fans came to see and many left disappointed.... I feel if you are going to play. give the fans a game...
