Goodbye Garrido

Lazio have signed left-back Javier Garrido from Manchester City just days after selling their defender Aleksandar Kolarov to Roberto Mancini's side.

The deal, although undisclosed is thought to be around £2m.

'Garrido is a Lazio player. He was our first choice to replace Kolarov,' the Serie A club's president Claudio Lotito told reporters on Friday.

The 25-year-old joined City from Real Sociedad in 2007 for £1.5m and made 49 appearances for the club.

Arrivederci e buona fortuna Javier.

So that's, Petrov, Sylvinho and Garrido up the road. The offload is gathering pace.

Caicedo is the last of the Sven era still standing. As he's not on the preseason tour of the states, looks like he's a gonner too.

Oh, and best of luck Javier.
