Eto'o Advises Mario Balotelli To Sort His Head Out

This time last year Manchester City were courting then Barcelona striker Samuel Eto'o and now the 29-year-old is advising fellow team-mate, Mario Balotelli to sort his head out.

The Inter Milan pair certainly know which side their breads buttered, and with the pending multi-million pound Mario Balotelli transfer looming the Cameroonian international has words of advice.

'He has the potential to go on and be one of the best players in the world, but he must sort some things out in his head,' Eto'o said.

'The older players at Inter have always tried to advise him. I am not sure how successfully but, if he is to be a success and not waste his career he must listen to the players at Manchester City. This is the chance for a fresh start.'

Reports in various media outlets suggest Inter president, Massimo Moratti, is planning to hold further talks with Manchester City tomorrow (Monday 2 August) regarding a deal for the 19-year-old, whose agent has revealed that the player is becoming 'anxious' regarding the failure to finalise a move.

Balotelli offer lowered?

According to reports in Italy, City has lowered their offer for Balotelli from an initial £25m to £22.5m and it also thought City have yet to meet his personal demands.

The Italian U21 is known to have an attitude and is believed to have the odd tantrum or two. I just wonder, even though his talent speaks for itself whether Mancini should avoid bringing such a disruptive player to SportCity.

Well, Eto'o pretty much wrote the manual in how to create mayhem in a dressing room, so for him to coem out and say that is quite something!

Thanks Etoo for these wise words of advice. Next time you're enlightened like this you should consider standing in front of the mirror when giving this type of lecture.

Takes one to know one I guess! Interesting to hear Etoo talking as though the deal is done - the longer it drags on the more I suspect we'll pull outt and look elsewhere.

For me this is a non-starter. Whatever talents Balotelli considers he has are best displayed on a football field and not in the press. Elano was disruptive and he's gone, Robinho is disruptive and he's gone. We don't need any more. Balotelli said yesterday that he gets homesick yet he has fallen out with his parents. That is a long way from the gospel according to Cassell & Pointon. I know where I'd prefer my younger players come from.

For your sake, you better hope he doesnt if you want him to sign for your club

Falling out with your parents cos they gave you away to another family at two years old is quite understandable you know. I really hope this transfer happens, imagine a strikeforce of Balotelli, Ade, Tevez and Bellamy, wow, with Jo, Caicedo and Santa(cant stay fit) moved on.

I can imagine it in the dressing room when they are arguing about game time, Mancini has it tough this season, and doubtful about Bellamy hanging around, he wants out, dont blame him, I would to if I had that Italian *****er coaching
Rob-EFC
Bellamy wants out? Never knew, please tell him we want him to stay when he comes by yours again tonight. One wouldda thought people will be less xenophobic esp with the coach of the national team being Italian, you learn sthg new everyday. Maybe you should get rid of that Spanish midfielder, and the American keeper, and the South African winger, and the Dutch defender. It must be hardwork bringing yourself to get behind all these foreigners huh?
