'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Messi: 'Ferguson Has No Respect'

Lionel Messi has launched a scathing attack on Manchester United and Alex Ferguson, stating that they showed 'no respect' to his Argentinian compatriate, Carlos Tevez.

The diminutive Barcelona winger said: "I am sure United and Ferguson regret letting Carlitos go, and if they had shown him more respect he would still be there.

'It was never about money for Carlitos - it was about respect and needing to feel wanted. And the truth is United made him feel unwanted while City have done everything they could do to make him feel wanted. It doesn`t matter how good you are or how much money you earn, it`s a basic human emotion to want to feel loved.'

The Fifa World Player of The Year also believes that with the players Manchester City now has at the club, people 'need to start taking [City] seriously'.

Cheers Leo. Always a spot in our side for someone like you matey. (In my dreams!)

Hey he's just preparing the path for a move next season - he likes Oasis and would fit in well.
Wswilly3
Indeed. A see you next season lads statement if ever there was one.
Johnny Baguette
He certainly knows what he's talking about, doesn't he? Perhaps we will see him next season...
PhillyBlueMoon
Can't argue with the world player of the year. Baconface lost last seasons title because he didn't value Tevez enough.
Eighthsin
hear hear Leo... sock it to the old codger.... Tevez has shown what manu miss without him.... You guys must be ecstatic that you missed out on Berbatov and got Tevez instead
maka4chelsea
Khaldoon and Cookie went after Berbaflop at the same time as Robinho. What City achieved was end up raising the fee that the rags had to finally pay. Face losing panic gripped the swamp resulting in Taggart picking up The Spurs Dracula at the airport himself! Similar panic has struck since then when Bacon Face fielded a full strength team against us in last season's league cup semis. The gap continues to close.

Such a blatant 'come and get me' plea(i wish)

Messi will have a soft spot for City because he's a huge Oasis fan and has even formed a lookalike band, and he knows well of Oasis' links to City. I'd say that is the best road to some day getting him - have Noel at the negotiating table! :D

No respect, err did we turn the sprinklers on at Inter when they won? Messi doesn't even know Sir Alex and what went on between him and Tevez. The reason we didn't win the season was more because of us missing Ronaldo more than the chase-a-stick Tevez.
TheFamousNo7
The word 'respect' on a Manchester City article? Arf!

Messi can't be that bright if he has only just realised. AF treats all opponents the same. They are just a nuisance to him as he tries to win again and again. The ref is blind Their players fouled us and got away with it. When my players went in studs up and permanently stopped his undercarriage from working it was a little error as the lad is an honest bloke. Nobody is allowed to interfere with his planning even if his lot were beaten fair and square on the day.

HAHAHAHHAA tevez is wanted their cause its a ***** club that are desperate for ANY kind of good player. not about money? lol thast why he chose city over other european giants? or was city he only interested party lol
Reddevils4ever89
I'll take Messi's opinion over a rival Man U fan's whose whole judgement is more than likely marred by fraustration at the fact that their noisy neighbours have just won the lottery and are strongly on the up while his club wallows in debt. At least you admit Teves is a top player. Maybe the challenge of winning sthg with City after 34yrs excites him more than Euro giants who win trophies for fun?
me_innit
Messi who is a friend of tevez's....
Reddevils4ever89
Talk about stating the obvious Reddevils, more reason why its ridiculous for TheFamousNo7 to say Messi doesnt even know what went on between SAF and Tevez.
me_innit
Messi and Tevez ...nice thought for next season
