It looks as though City have reached an impasse with the prospective signing of Balotelli, who's agent is clearing 'doing his best for his Client'.
Now Adebayor looks as though he is joining those in the revolving door, stating that he'd love to play for Juventus, who probably can't afford his wages.
If people want to price themselves out of playing for City or want to leave because they are not professional enough to want to fight for and keep their place in the team, don't sign them and get rid of them.
When you examine Adebayor's contribution to last season it more or less started and ended against Arsenal. It's as though he only moved away from Arsenal to score that goal against them. Then came the ban, the injury, the incident at the African Cup of Nations, more injuries and a subsequent draining of appetite.
He really hasn't looked the ticket over the pre-season, almost as if his mind is somewhere else. But if he does want away he will know he won't be on the same money, so it was correct that money was not the prime motivation for joining City in the first place!!
Adebayor's predicament is being mirrored in several areas across the squad just now, with many nervous about their playing futures. In the end Football is like any other industry. If your supply of labour is too great people have to leave or be moved on. Or they buy into what you are trying to do and make sure they are part of it. I would prefer the likes of Ireland to roll his sleeves up and roll the clock back to the season before last, I would make sure we kept Bellamy interested and if I was Wayne Bridge I'd make sure I stepped up to the plate because Kolarov won't give him too many chances.
I have expressed concern over the Balotelli situation before and I think that Mancini would have to be Cesar Millan of football management to tame that one. I can't report an anything positive that I've seen about this guy. I thinking he's dreaming if he thinks he'll get £180000 per week anywhere
The big wheels keep rolling and there will be more to come before the end of August.
