No one is worth £180,000 a week, least a jumped up over-rated striker like Balotelli. Some people have to live on less than £15,000 a year! I'd go for Forlan - I think he'd suit your style better than he did for Man Utd.

I'm repeating this from he forums but... Note that the source of this 180k claim is a "source close to SoccerNet" - given the potential negative slant offered for City, the British media parasites quickly replicated the story with their own brand of diabolical sensationalism! Not discounting the possibility of it being true but consider it originates from a single dodgy source and only a week before the wage was touted as 65k per week. Quite a big jump, innit?

If the story is true we should walk away............quickly.
Wswilly3
Mino Raiola has come out and put to rest this latest media attempt to destabilize us, saying terms have been agreed for a while and that the delay is an agreement between City and Inter. Raiola, literally, called the vermin media reports "bull****".
StuMCFC
Come on guys! do you really actually believe this crap about Balotelli wanting £180K a week?! The fekkin journalists probably just put a 1 before the real figure just for fun! Ballotelli will be joining soon probably on £75K a week. he's a 19 year old unproven striker for gods sake..get real!

No mentyion of the fact that he'd already agreed personal terms with the rags and that they'd offered him more money. No, of course not, selective hearing from our well-wishers as usual. (P.S. I read the story about Balotelli and the rags on several tabloid sites and it originated in Tuttosport, so it's quite clearly true, no?) http://www.united-latest.com/1/post/2010/07/breaking-news-united-agree-personal-terms-with-balotelli.html

People dont actually believe this bollox about 180k do they? Unless of course they are rival fans looking for sthg to slate City with. But even then, reason must prevail, surely.
me_innit
we believed the 200k a week for Yaya.

Another fake story put out by the press to discredit city again... BORING!

180K may be an overstatement by Soccernet. Btw I heard Adebayor might Leave to accomodate him? Don't you think thats not a very smart idea. I always rated Adebayor quite highly and as Talented as Ballotelli is.... he isn't a guarantee. Unless you guys get Dzeko.... now that is someone who could Guarantee success
maka4chelsea
Adebayor going nowhere Maka, tweets from City yesterday confirming it, he's just been given the no.9 shirt for the new season.

I think you guys have said it all. The media has an easy target in you because of your new found wealth. The fans read these stupid staories and some actually believe them.
SFC Forever
Mino Raiola (Balotelli's agent) has come out and rubbished the reports that Balotelli is demanding £180k per week. From the horses mouth, but I guess everyone will just ignore it because it's not been on the back page of the mirror.
