Bellamy Committed To City

Fan favourite Craig Bellamy has revealed that he is fully committed to the Blues, however, he fears he wont make the cut.

A revelation since arriving at Eastlands, Bellamy has spoken at depth about his hopes and fears for the season ahead.

The Wales captain has openly stated that he is fearful of not making Roberto Mancini's 25-man squad and has even threatened to call a premature end to his career.

'I feel strongly that I can offer something at the club,' said Bellamy, 'But if I don't get in the 25-man squad, I don't know what I will do.

'I might finish, full stop, or look at every option I get.

'This game is as ruthless as any. I sort of feel I am not going to be part of [the squad]. I can see it from a distance.

'I find that very difficult to take because I really enjoy playing for Manchester City. I think I have shown that with my commitment this year.'

The fiery forward revealed that he had turned down an offer from Steve McLaren's Wolfsburg, but said that he is still keeping his options open in regards to a move away from Eastlands.

'I have to see what options I have. I am here to play football.

'With this 25-man ruling, it doesn't matter how well I train or how good my attitude is, I might not be registered to play.

'So do I go without playing football until January, or do I find myself a club where I can play football?

'I am committed to stay where I am. I feel I deserve to be part of it, but I don't pick the 25 or the team. I have to wait on their decision.'

Craig is not alone in his fears, with City fans desperate to keep the temperamental 31-year-old at the club.

His excellent work rate, combined with speed and ability have cemented him in the hearts of the fans, whether we wanted him there or not!

I was totally against signing Bellers and how wrong he proved me to be. I truly hope we can keep him on board.

I really hope he stays.

Same as JB. I have written before on Vital on many Clubs pages about this exceptional footballer. I hated him wherever he played but at City he exudes everything I want from a player. I am pleased that has generally kept quiet about the situation and how it affects him. I think now he is just airing his worries. But he does want to play for us and for me he is an automatic selection in the 25. Here is one player who if he does move will come back to haunt us!

One thing for sure is that when he walks out for us you know you have essential tenacity and will to win on your side.

I think he'll make the 25 man squad. Who's going to take his place? RSC? Caicedo? Jo? Well, maybe Jo, but I can see Bellamy starting over him in the League. I'd keep Jo in the cups, Bellers in the league.

Bellers deserves to be in the 25 and by the sounds of it he is right up for the challange... top man.

Have just seen the video interview on skysports and it's a bit as if he's resigned to the fact that he'll not make the 25...Then he's on about how disappointed he is with the club and the lack of respect they've had for him etc...as if he was 100% sure that he was not in the future plans of City. I am a bit surprised that he's come out saying this BEFORE the 25 have been named, he's not exactly increasing his chances by doing this... Once a troublemaker always a troublemaker...great footballer though

Keep bellers and sell robinho and crocky.
