Weiss Deutschland Bound

Reports in Germany indicate that City speedster Vladimir Weiss is close to signing on loan with Vfb Stuttgart...

VfB gaffer Fredi Bobic has confirmed that Stuttgart are pushing to sign the MCFC Academy graduate and established Slovakia international on a season long loan with a view to signing permanently much in the mould of the City and Sunderland deal for Nedum Onuoha.

The Stuttgarter Nachtrichen website reports that Weiss, who went on loan to Bolton Wanderers last season was the subject of a full transfer bid from Stuttgart, but that City's Footballing Administrator Brian Marwood was reluctant to sell, so offered Stuttgart a loan deal instead.

The quicksilver 20 year old has 3 City starts to his name.

In other news, Mancio's Squad continues to take shape, with respect to Andy Smith and The Manchester Guardian...

Not sure what to make of this one. Going to Notlob last season was meant to be the making of the lad, yet Coyle was understandably nervous about sticking a callow youth into the thick of a relegation battle. He's obviously not developed quickly enough to displace SWP (and Milner if he ever does actually sign for us!), so I guess a loan deal was inevitable. Seems the manager and club must still have some faith in him if they knocked back a transfer, but not sure going out of England is the best move in the long run. Good luck Vladi, hope you come back a much better player.

Providing they play him it will be a good move for the lad

He wont get much game time there. I would have liked to weiss at west brom or blackpool.
