The Deal is Done - City Welcome Balotelli

The medical is complete, the cheque is signed and 'Super' Mario Balotelli has become the latest of Roberto Mancini's targets to join Manchester City.

In a deal believed to be around the £22-24 million mark the young Italain striker has finally put pen to paper.

Balotelli is a robust footballer in keeping with other signed by Mancini this summer and Easltands cannot wait to see him line up alongside Carlos Tevez to provide a spearhead duo, capable of dispensing goals with aplomb.

Welcome, Mario. You may have to sit it out tomorrow in North London, but it won't be long before you have the chance to show the adoring faithful what you have to offer to Manchester City.

IN other new, City have just bought the Moon, with Sheik Mansour reportedly announcing his intention to 'paint it Sky Blue'. A manned mission has been planned for 2011. :)

can be a great player if he controls hi emotions.
kingDROG
2011, DubaiSpur? He'll have the moon painted blue by the next transfer window...
PhillyBlueMoon
A great young player just a shame about his attitude problems.
TheFamousNo7
I dunno. This widely predicted inability to sign star players after that defeat to Spurs in May is really getting to me. LMAO. Now for the "will fail to gel" predictions!
Johnny Baguette
Who are you talking about Famous, Rooney is it?
Bluedub
Has cost less than Rooney did at a similar age despite being ahead in progression, but I'm fully expecting the media hammering shortly. But eff them, they also led the charge in the "City can't attract good players without Champions League football" campaign that failed miserably too. :) Can't wait for the season, despite one of the more difficult possible fixtures for us on opening day!
StuMCFC
It just gets better and better .....welcome Mario
Doody
@StuMCFC Rooney cost more because he is English . Mario can be great player if we behaves.
redfalcon
sorry *he behaves.. Sorry for the typo
redfalcon
I dont think champions league is an issue with players any more to be honest, as long as a massive sum of money is thrown in there face then they dont care. Noone can pretend they wouldnt do the same, its not how football should be these days but its just the trend.
P.Avfc
No Rooney cost more because he was an established international even at the age of 17! Ripping defenses apart in the Euros. So not sure why StuMCFC says Balotelli is ahead in progression. What a joke! Balotelli rarely played for Inter last season and they did a treble. Not sure what the fuss about him is really. I really hope he replaces Bellamy cos Bellamy is more of a threat than he'll be!
DeonDoolingU4L
Thanks to whoever cut in the photo. I didn't now how to do it!!
pedmachine
Not a bother machine, I'll drop you an email.
Johnny Baguette
*news alert* city have just bought a squad player at inter for silly money...... yep its 100% agrred he is a world beater!
lillywhites101
Yep Lilywhites, and to be fair to you, the whole premiership is quaking it's boots at the prospect of Sandro pulling on a Tottenham shirt.
fifthcolumnblue
Weren't (the signing this is) for silly money though fcb which was the point to his comment. Hasn't he already expressed his displeasure at having to leave Italy and wished he could've stayed.
TheFamousNo7
It's Hilarious of him mentioning that he wished he could've stayed in Italy, but Manicini has impressed me in dealings at Man city more so signings like Kolarov and Boateng and Toure , if he get's everything right i think you may come second after Chelsea of course . I think Silva is a signing you could have avoided .
adrogbafan
Well.. I don't want to think what it'll be like if you spend 300+ million (total) on players and not win any trophy this year..
JT_daniel
I think they've still got another couple of seasons before they will win a trophy.
