Post Match Reaction from the White Hart Lane movers and shakers and VMC Forum history makers...
Roberto Mancini:
'...Because it's against Tottenham, it's a difficult game. It's the first game for us and the second time that all these players have played together...I think that we need time because we have two or three new players and we haven't played together for five or six games...I think we have the time next week and we can improve.'
The big talking point this evening has been what will Shay Given, who in similar circumstances on return from injury handed in a transfer request at Newcastle do after Joe Hart's sensational performance. Here's what Mancio had to say:
'The right decision is always after the game for the manager, but I'm happy because I have two big goalkeepers...I must take a decision and one strong goalkeeper must go on the bench...I hope that Shay can stay here with us...I respect every decision, but I hope that Shay stays here.'
Harry Redknapp:
'I couldn't have asked any more from the players...we came out, did everything we worked on Friday morning - in the hour that we had with the players this week...we were determined to press all over the park and that's what we did. When we won possession, I thought we moved the ball about with great style and created lots of chances. Their keeper was fantastic and some days it goes like that.'
Joe Hart:
'It was just an enjoyable day, I love playing football. It was just another game I was looking forward to...we had to dig in in the first half...but we had a few chances and maybe we could have taken them.'
And of his rivalry for the goalkeeper shirt with Shay Given:
'Shay Given is the other goalkeeper and I'm sure he'll get chances. We'll be pushing each other, he's a great goalkeeper...He is someone I really look up to and someone I really respect. He is an inspiration.'
Citizhun
'I have to say, I was well impressed with the new boys. Silva looks like he's going to run the show in a lot of games, once he's got to grips with the pace in this league.
Buzz Lightyear
'Joe was brilliant and I thought that Given should have been the goalie, looks like Shay will be knocking on the bosses door asking where to spit his dummy if he asks to go...a point is good for a team who have not played that much footie together and we have taken a point there which is something we haven't done in the last six years.'
Bluedub
'Kolo and Vinnie were brilliant. Vinnie's tackle on Pav was moment of the match for me, made me jump out of my armchair that one.'
DragonAndLance
'Kolo played his heart out today, I'm not sure if for his brother or just because he was not captain. Kompany also had a great second half, as did almost everyone. But I have to give it to Hart. He was just too amazing.'
