VMC Man Of The Match No1 Versus Tottenham

The VMC Forum Posse have spoken and unsurprisingly, Joe Hart is our MOTM in our first game of the season with a string of spectacular saves...

23 year old Joe has come a long way since joining The Citizens from Shrewsbury in May 2006. The big number 25 is clearly relishing rising to the challenge to be City's goalkeeper. The question on every Blue's lips now is whether or not Shay Given is prepared to fight for his place.

There's deserved recognition too in our first match poll of the season for Vinnie and Kolo who formed a formidable central defensive partnership.

VMC Man Of The Match v Spurs:

25. Joe Hart 86.96%
2. Micah Richards 0%
28. Kolo Toure 8.7%
4. Vincent Kompany 4.35%

There could have only been one winner from that poll and the right man won. Kolo and Vinnie deserved their percentage of the vote as they also had a hand to play in our cleansheet.

Jo Hart by a country furlong. Just hope he's not MoTM too often this season!

A 'one horse race' this game.

Looks like Joe could be City and England keeper for a long, long time. Great start to the season.
