Mario Balotelli Will Be Fit For Liverpool Clash

Manchester City's debutant, Mario Balotelli scored the winner against FC Timisoara last night but left the pitch limping after receiving treatment and was later seen with strapping around his knee.

Not to worry

Mancini insisted he had no concerns over Balotelli's fitness ahead of Monday's Premier League clash with Liverpool insisting...

"We think it is not serious. It was probably just a kick, but it is not a problem. He had a great debut and I think it is the first time he could show what he can do. I'm very happy that he scored."

"He is a good player, but it is important that he gets to know his team-mates. He needs to improve and get to know everybody. It was the first time he had played with the team, but he will get better."

Liverpool travel to the City of Manchester City Stadium in three days time, with the game being broadcast live on Sky Sports.

Carragher, Nosferatu Skertl and co are in for a rough game if Super Mario is fit.

It's Reina I feel sorry for - imagine having to stand in front of a pile-driver of a shot like Mario has? Pity Kolarov is injured as he's got a foot like a traction engine too.

Can't see Mario playing for long on Monday if we don't want to make the injury worse ......suspect he will be used in a Shock and Awe move mid second half.
