Jerome Boateng Injured By A Trolley Dolly

Manchester City's Jerome Boateng admits it was a 'Trolley Dolly' who aggravated a previous knee injury. He is now being treated for a torn ligament and inflammation.

This is annoying and I hadn't imagined the start of my Manchester City career going this way,' said Boateng.

'I already had problems with my knee when I played for City against Valencia in pre-season and more followed from the international in Copenhagen.'

The accident occurred after a stewardess accidentally pushed her trolley against his knee as she wheeled it up the aisle of the aircraft flying him home from Germany's draw in Denmark earlier in the month.

The German international is hopeful of being available for selection within a month.

Seriously, only a footballer could get ligament damage from a drinks trolley. Wuss's!

Was she wearing a Red uniform .......

Typical City luck, isn't it. Both of our prospective new full-backs injured for a fair while, our new star striker injured (thankfully not for too long), and our second choice left-back also injured (although Lescott is doing a decent job filling in so far)!
