'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Report: MCFC Operating Under Transfer Budget

An eyebrow raising article in the Daily Torygraph today revealed how bizarrely, a director of one of the erstwhile Big Four clubs ran a financial check on The Blues...

Said director was tasked with 'finding out what budget Manchester City have - and whether they intend to continue spending.' We suppose he then reported back not only to his club but the Telegraph with his results.

It transpires that the 325 million thus far spent on transfer deals by the club since His Highness Sheikh Mansour came to town are below the amount budgeted for the past two years: a whacking great 500 million.

It's true from the Telegraph's findings that City's transfer policy has shifted this summer, to recruiting young international stars built around England players, six of whom will represent their country against Bulgaria tonight.

If the director without portfolio's ferreting is true, then City's financial strength is astonishing.
