Mancini: Chelsea Are The Best Team In The League

In the build-up to Saturday's clash with current Premier League champions Chelsea, City boss Roberto Mancini goes on record to say Carlo Ancelotti's team are the best in the league.

The Italian goes on to say Chelsea will retain the Premier League title and then bemoans the amount of injuries in the City squad.

Its by far true? Who can disagree? The only arguements you can is that man utd and arsenal could win the league but to me chelsea will clearly win and are the best team..No other teams in the race in my eyes, Those 3 are the best in the league.

No arguments from me.

As a Chelsea supporter, the flattery is nice and you can't really argue against the evidence thus far presented: fluid, dynamic attack and a strong defensive unit, supported by a top keeper. Thing is, injuries can bury you. I'm most sensitive to that possibility. Plus, the club took a risk letting so many midfielders go. The idea is to replace them with young talent, but there are questions about their ability to cope. Some will, some won't. This is how it goes.

I won't get carried away too much by this. Injuries to any of our fab 4 and our wheels will drop off. If thy can remain fit, it will be as Mancini says. Problem is, no team in the league has injury free seasons. I think its a bit early to be giving up, its possibly mind games from Mancini.

Don't think he's giving up JT, he's just saying it like it is.

there are no easy games in the PL... and no game is won on paper... also as RD said... our squad looks a little thinner this season... so injuries can decide the destination of the trophy!
