VMC Man Of The Match No10 Versus Chelsea

The VMC Forum Posse have spoken and our classy defensive man mountain Vincent Kompany gets our vote for his brilliant marshalling of the back four...

Vinnie has been our most consistent performer across the first ten competitive fixtures in this campaign. And be under no illusions, marking Didier Drogba into substitution is no mean feat.

Neither is only shipping two Premier League goals all season. One a late penalty, the other a mix up between Harty and Kolo.

Small wonder that Barcelona, Real Madrid and Inter Milan have all tracked the stylish no nonsense Belgian who is easily the most committed City player based on interviews alone, nevermind performance:

'There were fourteen players on that pitch, more on the bench, and thousands in the stand who just refused to beaten. There was a collective will and we showed what could be done.'

Our polls always give a great indicator of the City squad's performance and every single outfield starter bagged votes in the win over Chelsea such was the team's all round effort as they piled into challenges.

Not bad for a bunch of money grabbing mercenaries, eh?

Joe Hart really did have little to do such was The Citizens command of The Champions middfielders and forwards.

Juventus, you are next.

Could have been awarded to any number of players really. To have so many players nominated says it all.

This was one of the few games where I think it is almost unfair to pick MotM .....they were all great.....well done lads...
Doody
Has grown into one of Europe's best center backs while at our club. Titanic, rarely puts a foot wrong.
StuMCFC
Well deserved, but like has been said it could have been anyone in sky blue, an outstanding team performance with plenty of team spirit on display. I went for Vinnie myself in the vote, so glad to see him get it, but it shouldn't take away from the performances of the rest, especially Maximus Decimus De Jong.
Bluedub
It was an excellent team performance.

Andre Marriner got my vote lads - lol :-)
Red Boy
Hardly surprising that RB, being a Rag it must be par for the course giving a ref your MOTM vote.
