Alberto Aquilani: We Are Juventus & Must Walk Tall

Liverpool's Alberto Aquilani, currently on loan with Serie A giants Juventus is looking forward to facing Manchester City in Thursday night's Europa League game.

The 26-year-old attacking midfielder said...

'I played in England and I know that teams are all tough. Manchester City bought some important players and they are a formidable opponent. But we are the Juventus and we must walk tall.'

The Italian international made 18 Liverpool appearances since making his Premier League debut during the 2009/10 season, however he failed to impress new manager Roy Hodgson even though the former Fulham boss played him in a couple of pre-season games, but stated publicly in mid-August that Aquilani could go back to Italy on loan for a full season, where playing regularly he could gain match fitness.

Juventus manager Luigi Del Neri couldn't confirm whether Aquilani will start against City...

'Eleven players must go on the pitch. Marchisio and Melo are doing well in their roles. Right now that midfield pairing gives me great reliability.'

Manchester City v Juventus is being broadcast live in the UK on channel FIVE.

"We will terrify the cowards of Europe with our attacking play....!"

So Aquilani flopped at Liverpool and now he can't even get a game at Juventus? Why then should anyone give a flying ***K about what he has to say?

No criticisms intended or implied T. Just getting sick of all of these no-marks opening their mouths and spouting off about us to be honest!

No worries, your comments were not lost in translation but like I say, it was a slow news day. Perhaps the Juve players will trip over their shoe laces later tonight when they train at CoMS. At least that might be a giggle (lol) if nothing else.
