Bluehearted Zaba Crocked For Geordies Visit

Heroes don't come more unsung than Pablo Zabaleta. The utility man, a warrior by trade, has continued to impress Planet Blue with his hard working approach this season...

The uncompromising 25 year old is a team man through and through. His commitment to the cause never wanes, neither does he moan to the hacks when he is out of the side or repeatedly moved out of position. Quite why he is not a regular for the Argentinian squad is beyond many of us.

The bad news is that his half time substitution against Juventus was forced by injury. Roberto Mancini:

'It is a hamstring...I do not believe it is serious but he won't play on Sunday.'

So Zaba is out of the Newcastle clash. Certainly his tough tackling would have come in handy against the likes of the the Elvis impersonating, cigar touting, training ground mentalist, comedy moustache flaunting McDonalds hitman Joey Barton on Sunday.

Mr versatile will be a big miss. Zab never gives less than 100% and has always been one of my favourite players. Anyone who cares to call us a team of mercenaries who are only playing for the money - I dare you to say that to Pablo's face! Get well soon Zabs.
