VMC Man Of The Match No15 Versus Arsenal

The VMC Forum Posse have spoken and the word on the street is that Micah Richards is threatening a career Phoenix from the flames...

With The Blues right up against it from almost the first whistle, Richards epitomised 10 man City's efforts in taking the game to the Gunners. The MCFC Academy graduate was unfortunate not to get himself on the score sheet and some of his powerful runs terrified the Arsenal defence.

Micah is responding well to the guidance across the squad afforded by Patrick Vieira and also to the increased competition for places. Long may his resurgence continue.

Nigel De Jong meanwhile has shrugged off the intense tabloid which hunt that pursued him for tackling hard and did everything he could to stop the referee card goading Cesc Fabregas.

If he can stay in good form he must be a shoe-in for England considering the puzzlingly mediocre Glen Johnson seems to be the only right-back in Capello's mind. But it's Micah, you just never know if the form will stick but he does seem to have some new discipline under Mancini.
