Ultras Love And Passion

The word 'ultra is hardly ever used in the UK but that might be about to change.

The four core points of the ultra mentality are:

* Never stop singing or chanting during a match, no matter what the result
* Never sit down during a match
* Attend as many games as possible (home and away), regardless of cost or distance
* Loyalty to the stand in which the group is located

Do you consider yourself an ultra? The definition can be found here.

The Manchester derby on Wednesday night is the most eagerly awaited match of the season with over 47,000 fanatical fans cheering on their respective team. I for one will be an armchair fan but my heart will be at the City of Manchester Stadium cheering on the Blues.

Thats quite an optimistic prediction tudor. But i like it. And on the ultra thing - we can be quite docile at times but I'm hoping this media negativity and the excellent show of support will galvanise everyone behind the team. Especially with Wednesday approaching. I for one will be singing my heart out for our team and screaming at the away end for 90 minutes (plus fergie time).

if City opened one stand up to hardcore fans and said 'do what the **** you want' i would love it.

Dont think the away support at COMS being in what seems to be the middle of what is our most vocal support helps.... 1 end of the ground (and name it!) for our loudest and proudest and stick the away support somewhere in the gods.... just a thought.

Totally agree Belfast blue - Not sure why they haven't thought of that before. It just seems so obvious.
